18h: The snow keeps falling. No need to contact us: our crews are still out on the roads, armed with snow blowers and good spirits! 😊Each driveway will be revisited a second time by the end of the evening. After that, we’ll be back on the roads early tomorrow morning! Thank you for your patience and understanding. We’re keeping at it — the snow won’t have the last word (even if it’s holding on tight!).❄️
12h: Today, January 15, an initial basic pass will be completed in each of your driveways. Each driveway will be serviced at least once by the end of the day; some will be serviced twice. No finishing service will take place today. Snow alerts will be activated tomorrow.
Snowfall will continue throughout the day and overnight. Further updates will follow regarding the next service visits scheduled for tomorrow, Friday, January 16.

Due to the large amounts of rain expected during the day, followed by near-freezing temperatures, no driveways will be plowed to avoid creating icy spots. (The snowblower picks up as it reads the cleared surface, so it’s best to leave accumulations on the ground). We’re keeping a close eye on the situation, and further decisions will be made as necessary over the course of tomorrow or Friday.

9pm: For safety and efficiency reasons, operations are over for today.
10h : The Déneigement des Monts team will be out on the roads from 10am. We’ll be working continuously on each of the entrances until 6pm-7pm (or longer if necessary!)
The clean-up, being the finishing service with snow alert, will be carried out on Monday morning, February 17, between 8am and 2pm.
A small gesture that makes a big difference: We ask you to avoid creating snow drifts behind cars or in your driveway. As we can’t guarantee that this snow will be picked up before tomorrow, it could complicate the snowplough’s work and, above all, prevent you from getting out of your driveway. By avoiding these accumulations, you’ll keep your driveway clear, and together we’ll help make snow removal more efficient.

A reminder to all! Every customer is responsible for maintaining his driveway. The presence of large rocks, pieces of brick, logs, wooden pallets… these are examples of objects that can significantly damage snowblowers and consequently cause major delays in the operation schedule.

NIGHT OPERATION
10pm (January 9): Operations will start this evening at 10pm. Operators will clear all snow from your driveway without asking you to take your cars out.
A second pass will be made during the day on Wednesday to pick up the snow banks provided by the municipality. Only the snow banks will be picked up at this time, so please don’t leave any snow banks behind your cars, preventing you from getting out of your driveway.
The final clean-up will take place on Thursday morning, January 11. It is at this time that snow alerts will be activated and corrective measures taken.
* Please note that there is no need to contact us to find out if the tractor responsible for your area is nearby. Operators juggle the complexities of your driveways, machinery and weather conditions. All the while doing their best. It’s also pointless to contact us before the final clean-up to tell us that we’ve missed a section of your driveway. Please contact us after the final cleaning.

Déneigement des Monts glossary
Worker’s pass: A quick pass through each entrance to allow customers to go about their daily business (often done in the wee hours of the morning during heavy overnight accumulations).
Brief passage: We widen the entrance as much as possible without asking you to take your cars out, as we don’t want to obstruct the work of the municipal snow plough. Corrections will be made at the finishing pass.
Finishing pass: Snow alerts are activated. You must get your cars out and shovel by hand before the operators arrive.
